Public Notice: Benton County Mental Health Advisory Council
Notice is hereby given that the Benton County Human Services will be selecting members for the Benton County Mental Health Advisory Council. All appointments shall be for a renewable two-year term with per diem ($55) and mileage (for consumer representatives) for the council meetings paid. The next meeting shall be at on Wednesday, October 17th 2012 at 10 am. Meetings will be held four times per year. The purpose of the meetings are to review, evaluate, and make annual recommendations to the Human Services Board regarding the local mental health system. Council members shall have an interest in and knowledge of the local mental health system and in mental illness. All council members must be a Benton County resident or a service provider of Benton County residents. Vacancies currently exist for the following positions:
Past mental health consumers as a child
Children’s mental health professional
Minority population representative
Parent of a child with a severe emotional disturbance
Adult mental health professional
Adult consumer of mental health services
