Consumer Advocates Wanted!
The Community Adult Mental Health Initiative (CAMHI) is looking for individuals who have been involved in the mental health system and are interested in being a part of CAMHI’s Advisory Committee by filling the role of a Consumer Advocate and/or Consumer Advocate Alternate for Benton, Sherburne, Stearns or Wright County.
Consumer Eligibility:
A) Consumer has a diagnosed serious and persistent mentally illness (SPMI)
B) The consumer is the financial responsibility of Benton, Sherburne, Stearns or Wright County

Duties include attending and participating in the CAMHI Advisory Committee meetings. Meetings are held on the first Thursday of the even numbered months from 1 to 3pm with a rotating schedule for the location. Participation in CAMHI’s sub-committees are also encouraged, but not required.
If you are interested in being a Consumer Advocate, please submit a letter of interest to the Mental Health Supervisor of the county you are a resident of no later than November 21, 2018. Letters can be sent attention “Mental Health Supervisor” to the following address:

Supervisors will present their nominations at the December 6th Advisory Committee meeting. The Advisory Committee will vote and approve candidates for the positions on that day. Please see the calendar on our website for meeting and location details.
